I have wanted one of these guys for quite some time now. But everywhere I go they have been $75-100 for even the smallest specimen. On Tuesday a friend from my local club told me about this guy, and I ended up grabbing it for a third of that price. It’s been kept in fairly pristine condition and seems to be healthy.

The guy selling it told me it is L191, but I have sneaky suspicion that it is L190 because of the eye being more of a red colour. If anyone can confirm this that would be sweet. Either way Its cool and I’m super happy to finally have this guy in the line up.

Looks like L190 now or L330 when larger if has spots.

Thank you for confirming my suspicion. Most of the 330 that I am seeing don’t have the white band on the tail like this guy so more leaning toward 190. Will try to get some more clear pics in the next few days while it’s in the qt tank.

I may never see it again after it goes to the next tank. Lol

I’m ok with that.

It’s looking amazing really nice lines and little white tips on all the fins. The eye looks like red/ brown.

I saw some L191 at a store yesterday and they are not as brilliantly coloured as this guy. Super happy with it so far.

Does anyone here know what a typical growth rate on these guys would be?
