just got back from my week long vacation... and my pbass killed and partially ate my odoe pike... super bummed out =( it was my favorite fish...

so need to look for a new tank mate for my pbass and ornate bichir.. what do you think?

If you're gonna get a austrialian/jardini arowana ,it's gonna end up killing all your tank mates ,even if you have a large aquarium! It depends on the personality of the arowana .goodluck!

Bichirs are nothing like cichlids. They don't look the same or swim similarly or even inhabit any space above the bottom of the tank. So your bichir isn't a good point for comparison.
