I just moved yesterday, including my tank. after the move my peacock bass did not look so good, slime coat was looked bad. When i got home from work today he was done. had this guy for a while, from about 4" up to 11" I'm not sure what i did wrong? my bichir did fine with the move. Maybe its just one of those things when moving a tank?? idk. Either way pretty bummed out.

Now i need to find a tank mate for the bichir, it seems to be almost lost or depressed??? is that possible?

Sorry for your loss, the big ones ate the toughest to lose but If ur looking for another big Pbass a guy on craiglist is selling a 12" kel for $200 really nice looking Pbass

Sorry for your loss. I sometimes anthropomorphize too, but I assure you it isn't depressed cause your bass is gone. The tank move means it's in a new environment-so it'll take a little while to get comfortable again. Of course I'd probably get a new tankmate just to have something swimming around above the bichir.

thanks everyone, do you think as long as my water permitters are good now, they wont spike or anything? i have never moved a tank before. i dont want to get any ammonia or nitrate spikes. its all the existing canisters so i would assume nothing will change?
