at the 'Bama Breeze
...I just walked down stairs to feed my fish and found my ATF dead. I have no idea what happened. Last time I saw the tank was around 9pm. My water tested fine and all other fish seem fine. Any way it hurts. Other then a pair of rays a while back this is the first fish that I have lost not due to suicide (jumping out) or being eaten by other fish.

He was just getting calm and coming to the glass when I walked up. Feeding him was a blast. Hed practically eat the shrimp right from your hand! Hed hit it so fast it was scary. An awesome fish that will surely be missed...

I hope to get another one some day....

I think my dat may have been the culprit. He has always punked him out but never too much though.
 
No, it is blood. I assume its injuries from the dat or as a result of him trying to escape from the dat. The power of these fish are amazing and if they freak out they can injure them selves very easily.

He must have died minutes before I found him because he was still bleeding and still very limber.
 
man that really is ashame.......that fish was beautiful.......hopefully you can have another one day......
