a small dat feeding

Hi guys, i just got a 1" indo dat. I was wondering what i should feed him while he's small. thanks a lot

Mine go crazy over frozen blood worms and brine shrimp. Try to tear up small pieces of market shrimp and see if it takes that.

thats what i feed mine... they go crazy and stuff themselves. they have lil bellies after feeding

where do you find those live black worms? ive never seen any at the lfs. do they have another name?

I've seen them as trout worms on lists from my LFS. If they don't keep them they can order them. I get mine from a LFS that doesn't stock them. If I pick them up the same day they come in I get them for $5 above cost, which is 15bucks per pound.

How big would a pound of Live bloodworms be??? Just wondering?

Size of a baseball, or a tennis ball, or a softball, or a football? for a reference..

probably a little smaller than tennis ball. It goes a loooooooong way with baby dats though.

think trout worms are different then black worms. Just ask the lfs if they carry them. Not many do unless that's what they feed their stock or there is a demand. They're as small as bloodworms and dats go crazy for them
