I hate to do this do them because they may be struggling but this is kind of important. Reptile Depot in Chadsworth CA,,,,,,they have a website and I know they have some bad reviews online, however I used to go to this shop when in the area and everything was not too bad, lots of cool animals. I was their this weekend, the place was a mess, the monitors were so skinny and had dead rodents all over the tanks, the entire place reaked so bad of death.
10 of maybe 20 turtle tanks had so much green muck in them and not a single aquatic turtle in the place that I could find, not that I was looking for them because all of you know they are not on my fav list lol.
More than half the herp cages were empty and torn up snake sheds in most of them, the few snakes they had looked miserable other than some nice little sand boas. A few great looking adult crested and garg groups, but the beards and monitors and other stuff damn dude.
The cham screen cages had solid dead plants hanging in each one, the chams looked at me like wtf is going on in here. I mean like 20 cages with one dead ass plant hanging like Indiana Jones and the Temple Of Doom.
Anyways, a few other things but I dont want to bash them as ppl because I dont know whats going on, the guys used to be all hungover acting or tweekin out yet they were all very cool to me. The prices on what herps they do have are sky high, the experience made me sad because I went down their hoping things would be better but I was almost embarrassed to be in their.
Their web page makes everything look great, I just feel I should warn before any of you think to buy something online from them. The thing they had good was a guy who was hard at work with the glue gun and silicon creating naturalistic vivs which they have alot of good looking ones, idk, nothing made since. So just be careful. maybe they are getting a makeover soon.
