Ok, SO this story starts off with both sides of amesbien. Myself (kevin) and Justin were over my house, fooling around with my new 55 gal with my 6" senegal and a 5" clown loach. The fish had been in the tank for about 3 weeks and they both have been doing great, seeing as they have SO much room to swim in. As we gazed into the tank like normal, we couldn't find the CL. After that, I remembered that I havent seen the CL for the past week. (just thought he was hiding somewhere). We then proceded to uproot every plant and piece of drift wood in the tank. No clown loach. Puzzled, we both looked at the one plastic/ceramic ornament in the tank. It was a long cool looking piece of grey drift wood. It had 2 tiny little holes in the back of it. I took the ornament and shook it in the water to try to get the little guy out. No luck, I think it only succeded in scaring him more. We knew he had to be in there because there was no where else he could be in the tank, so I decided that we had to get him out somehow, because I dont want a fish i will NEVER see. I had got the ornament for free, cause i work at a pet store, so we decided to smash it. We took it out back, grabed a hammer, and Whack! But to our suprise, no clown loach...then we kept smashing the little peices into smaller pieces. No CL. Then, after about a minute,i look at my feet, and see a little orange thing chillin. I said "OMG here he is!" justin grabed him and flew up the stairs and tossed him in the tank. I went upstair to see the CL stuned still just sitting on his side. After a minute, he started swimming again. He is still with us today, living under his purple slate like normal. But ever time i come near the tank, he swims out for a minute, just to show me that he isnt hiding, because he doesnt wanna face the hammer again! haha.
just wanted to share that with you guys lol.
