I know that there are a lot of ways to soften water such as : collecting rain water, RO/DI filters, peat...... but what about dead pine needles?
I have no idea if this could or could not work so all you chemists, biologists, and simply more experienced people out there, please chime in. The basic idea seems ok, I use pine needles when I landscape (personally, not professionally
) with various plants like azealeas (sp?) that require acidic soil. So how about water???? Hmmmmmmm.....
