OK first off i have many tanks that i have had over many years now, i use to work in the business back in the late 70 up though the 80's ..every tank i have up and running has be sett up by a natural cycle meaning i add no enzyme's of any kind other than fish food and the fish pooping... i remember when i worked in the hobby we sold a product call fritz zyme #9 if i remember right ..in my opinion the stuff was junk ..and in the long run could bring on bad things to your tank ...many years have passed since then.. for Xmas my wife got me a 75 gal to add to my hobby ( what a nice wife ) the place she got the tank also sold her a bottle of Stress Zyme ( bio filtration booster ) i am still a strong believer in a natural cycle ...any input on this product i can't make my mind up if i should use it and y?

Ehhh, just toss it in, it can't hurt but I have heard cycle is a better product.

i really dig that........ thank u .....i do want to here from oddball as well
i am sure thats understood

i guess i'll be that odd ball.

based purely on the comments and reviews i've read:
bio-spira= great stuf that works, strongly supported by marine keepers although there is a freshwater version that seems to be harder to find(probably because it needs to be refrigderated or the live bacteria will die so most lfs will stock cycle enstead)
cycle= junk that seems to reduce cycling time by about a week
stress coat= just an addative to help fish, more of a conditioner than bacteria additive but seems to do a good job(as a conditioner, not as a cycling agent)
anything other than bio-spira= usually junk.

ever since i started learning about the hobby(finally got tired of throwing fish in a tank only to have them die 4~10mo later) i've been a firm believer in fishless cycling. you just need an ammonia source and then to just watch for the ammonia and nirites to spike and then drop to 0ppm, it just seems cruel to me to for force a fish to endure the ammonia and nitrite poisoning that goes along with a cycle.
