Here in Omaha, there's a salvage yard of sorts that deals in used and left over construction supplies. Most everything they carry are items left over or taken from remodeling and de-construction projects. Everything they handle is in excellent condition and the store is pretty popular with local home modelers.

I went down this morning to get some landscape rock and browsed around a bit. I found a couple of aluminum framed office entry doors, but walked on by. Then it hit me...

The doors have 1/2" thick, approximately 72" x 30" tempered glass windows mounted in the frame. They wanted $20 per door...I bought them both :)

If you're thinking of building a tank, you might want to see if there is a similar store in your area if they happen to have something you might be able to use on your tank build.

Just a thought!

I've looked at similar doors.

Let us know how you get on with a build.
