My biggest male sen died yesterday. This thread is dedicated to the memory of that wonderful bichir.
I got him last Dec at 5 inches and named him after Jerry Cantrell, Alice in Chains' guitarist. He grew to over 10. That's a growth rate I did'nt even thought possible. (His brother Cornell is almost as big at 9.5 inches.)
The color of his skin is more on the gray side, unlike my oldest Sen, Puff, who is more olive. His dorsal finlets have faint markings similar to those of delhezis. This (and the growth rate) even led me to believe that he might be a hybrid between a del and a sen.
Besides being my most active bichir, he also eats the most!
some pics...
(on the 2nd and 4th pics, he's the right-most sen)
