In the water
I have a question for those who keep there rays and sharks in ponds instead of tanks. How do you go about the water changes? Do you already have a tank thats pre cycled where you get the salt water from or do you mix it as you change the water? I am wanting to try breeding some sw rays eventually. I am currently doing my research on it.

Keep a mixed batch ready to go in some type of storage tank. When you get into big set ups, you don't do nearly the amount (volume nor frequency) of water changes as small tanks.

I have a 250 gallon water tank I bought from McMaster - has a huge inlet on top for filling, and a nice valved exit at the bottom, makes water changes and top offs quite easy.
