Alright. I know they say that there are no stupid questions. But this one is ultra-mega stupid. I ask that nobody comes to my house and beats me up for asking this, but here goes. Is it possible to fashion a swimming pool into kind of an indoor pond? You know, the kind that you can buy from, like, Wal-Mart or something? I figured that it would be a lot cheaper than buying/building an aquarium. Naturally, it would just be used for keeping fish, and there would still be filtration, substrate, and all that other crap. If that was possible, the only change from an aquarium would be the receptacle that the fish are kept in. So what do you guys think?

im pretty sure many people on here have done it. i havent personally, but most people use the stronger kind of pools that ones from walmart from what ive gathered. i want to do the same thing but there has to be room for cars lol :D

theres a bunch of people on here who do it, just dont get a cheap easy set you want to get a metal framed one so the possability of a hole is less.

Yes, but a better idea, (in my opinon) is to get a stock pond (large round water tanks) from your local feed store. They are stronger and usually all of them have a valve close to the bottom for you to do a easy water change.
They come in metal and plastic. (I would get the plastic, wont hold heat or cold like metal does and wont rust..)

You can usually find them also on Craigslist.

i think yes but it needs to b kind of deep. not a kiddy pool and if u wer thinkin that thn yes the dumbest ? on this earth but if u put all of the natural stuff like u wuld in a fish tank than it shuld work just fine.

Type "intex" into the search bar. Also check out the indoor pond section. ;)

It is not a stupid question. Many people would like to ask that same question. After all the pool from Wal-mart would be a lot cheaper. Of course you can do it.
