Over the summer I was having some financial issues and had to sell my favorite fish, my at the time 7" delhezi who I had since he was a baby. Sold him to a friend that I knew would take care of him and everything was well. Recently I heard from him and he was letting me know that he was going to rehome the delhezi and gave me first dibs back at him. My financial troubles behind me for the time being I was thrilled by the fact I was getting him back. When he brought him to me, WOW has he grown. He's a solid 12"+ but at the same time looks just how I remember him, has the same underarmour pattern on his left side and sems to be doing very well. Seeing one of these guys near full size really puts in to perspective for me how big the ornates and endlicheris must truly look in person. It's just really gotten me back interested in to the polypterus side of the hobby. My next goal is to find another 75 gallon to give him enough room to be comfortable, it doesnt seem to be bothering him but he makes a 46 bowfront seem tiny! Next time I see him come out fully in to the middle of the tank i'll get some pictures. He's currently on gravel (I know not ideal) but i'm feeding him with tongs to reduce the risk of accidentally downing a rock or two. When I find my next 75+ I will definitely go back to a sand bedding. Always good to be reunited with an old fish friend
