hey guys!:nilly: i went to my LFS in the morning to see if they had bamboo sharks for sale. sadly, they aren't gonna have em until two weeks later, but the owner told me they had the eggs for sale. so i took an egg home for $15 singapore dollars, which is around $10 USD? yes i know, its FREAKING CHEAP:headbang2

then he bagged the egg. i noticed the egg floating in the pail so i asked him if it was meant to float. he then squeezed the egg gently and tiny air bubbles came out. he said that the air inside the sac would suffocate the pup inside. he told me it would take another 2-3 weeks for it to hatch. after he squeezed it, i doubted that the pup would make it. after that, i got a powder blug tang for $16 SGD. i went home satisfied.

i acclimated the egg and tang in the tank for 15 minutes before taking them out. the tang immediately started exploring and took pellets soon after. i hung the egg using a rubber band in the middle of the tank. after that, i went out for dinner.

when i came home, i checked the egg. i didn't see the yolk so i started trying to scrape the stuff on the surface of the egg. after a while, i looked around and saw the bamboo pup in the seagrass! woooooooooooo:nilly:

he's a beauty man! pics below(sorry for crappy pics)

my tank is a standard 120g. gonna upgrade to a 360g next year, and the coral catshark will be returned to my uncle once he returns from his buisness trip.
need advice though, will the 20" coral catshark bother the 5" or so bamboo shark?

Nice tank. Yo, are you in Singapore? Can you share some good LFS's and good places near the shore to look for wildlife? (Octopus, Cuttlefish, Mantis Shrimp, Squid, Coral...anything) Thanks ;D

awesome

Nice turnout but I wouldnt trust the catshark with your newborn.
