I was adding some better looking sand on top of the flourite and I don't even remember messing with the cords for the filter and powerhead and after I was done adding sand I realized that neither was running. I poured water into the filter reservoir and it sounded like it started back up, I was wrong.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

everything still plugged in? check your powerstrip and or any api outlets for a breaker trip. failing that, check your circuit breaker.

Forgot to say it's a emperor 400, the lights connected to the power strip still work, wouldn't that mean the breaker and all that are fine?

emp 400's can be a pain in the ass if anything gets sucked up there too big. you might have got sand in it. take the whole thing apart and clean the impellar.

did some sand get sucked into the implellers and jam them up? Open the filter, pull out the impeller and flush the inside out in case sand has jammed it up.

Haha, I type too slow I guess.

sounds like you need to remember to turn off your filters before adding sand... its small but its big enough to jam the impellers... unplug them and take them apart and clean out the impellers...

lol, I fixed the filter(jiggled the intake tube):nilly:
power head is till out of commission, it's a Hydor Koralia

I know that fixing the filter was more important, and the powerhead is not necessary, but I would please like to know any one's opinions and/or experiences with fixing powerheads.
