I've been looking around, but can't really lock down a tank size for these guys.

What size tank would you think it would take to keep one happy?

I appreciate the link, but it doesn't mention a tank size. I was looking for someone that's seen an adult in person or has/had one.

Trying to get a game plan together

Will end up needing a 500g or bigger to keep lifelong. It’ll easily reach 3ft in most home aquariums. A member on this forum has one in a private aquarium, over 1000g I believe. The Aba Aba in there is huge. They are aggressive and will tear everything up.
