There was this guy selling two of these things locally. One 3 ft the other 2 and a half. He is selling both for 400 bucks! Never seen them this big before.

I don't think that's an african knife fish, looks more like something from the lung fish varietys to me, african knives don't have a dorsal fin.

Lolwut? That most certainly is an Aba Aba. A handsome one at that! I've only seen one in person, and that was Egon's.

The lightning storm is beautiful, too! I've always wanted to go to Hawaii.

I think you're confusing this with X. Nigri which is way smaller and less aggressive. It's also more commonly known as an African Brown Knife. Aba Aba Knives are from Africa and there are a couple of Kife species from Africa with Dorsal Fins. Aba Aba being one and P. Afer being the other.
 
If it wasn't so big and so dang expensive I would definitely pic him up! Hard to believe this homie has two of these beauties!
