I know aba abas reach a foot in lenght really quickly. How fast do they grow after that? How long till 2.5 ft, etc.

depends on feeding and size of tank

Fast. Eventually, if the tank is large enough, 5 feet. Of course, they won't get this big in a 300 gal or something.

the'll get the same size no matter what size the tank is as long as you keep the water clean

Justed based on knives in general...FAST. I would imagine one could have their hands full very quickly.

they grow very fast, mine grew from 5" to 2.5 ft. in two years.

thanks that was exactly what I was looking for. I am more curious then serious about buying one. I had one years ago and loved it, but sold it while it was still small (went with the fahaka instead). I would like to get one again, but would not be able to upgrade my 120 for probably three years. So I guess its back to wishful thinking for now.
