Any live foods that are small enough?
They can be trained to accept prepared foods.
Try chopped up prawns etc.
Nice pick up!

They are not fussy eaters, 2" is small for them and they are prone to getting sick and dieing, they need special care wen they are young, do it still have its egg sack?

it dont have a yoke sack no more what kind of care do i need for it since i am kind of new with baby fish

I keep mine in a well planted tank w/ driftwood to hide in. he's got a colony of guppies to pick off and I put live black worms in every night before I go to bed. also a bunch of snails in there but not sure if he's got the power to crush them yet.

I do 25% WC every other day to keep pristine conditions along with my well seeded HoB filter w/ a sponge over the uptake tube. Tanks at 78.

It's taken my guy a week to settle in and he's still very shy. He also got bungled up abit at the LFS when they netted him out. :irked: He had a few minor scratch marks along his head. But he's healed up nicely, and has a round belly.

this is my 3rd one. They are very sensitive/delicate when babies. Avoid medications. my first 1 got a bacterial infection and died the first week. the second one was dropped at the LFS but was the only one available so I gave it a try. He died about 4 days later. Still not sure if it was drop related or not.

At that size, I'd go with Bloodworms and Brine Shrimp.

He likely wont be too picky about his food. I would make sure his tank is dark and he has plenty of places to hide.
