Aba knife died

I fed my aba knife some rosies earlier and when I checked on him a few minutes ago I found him dead with the rosy in his mouth. I tried pulling the rosy out and opening his mouth near the filter to circulate some water for about five minutes, but he wasn't coming back.

Out of 12 newborn aba knives my LFS ordered, one ended up in a 5g tank that ALSO QT's feeders (even though I tried explaining their needs to the customer) and another ended up dying within a few days on the customer. The rest were eaten by small barracudas (smaller than the aba knives) and finished off by senegal bichirs who were the same size as the knives when I had to find a new tank to move them to.

Kind of funny how out of 12 aba knives, the biggest only got 5 1/2".

Sorry for the loss.. =( But this is why when you find them 10"+ they are usually so expensive. It is hard to raise them. the ones I had prior to my current one all went very fast. One minute they seemed fine.. the next gone.

Sorry for the loss, I feel your pain. I lost my Aba Aba in just a month and a half because I went to LA and Im from the philippines. I asked my housemaid to help me look after it while Im gone. When I arrived, I found it dead. It was painful. I plan to take care of one again sometime... Dont lose hope.

My 18"er died. I was in KL for work while it happened. Was travelling back and forth every month. Now I have another one 21"er in KL. They're pretty hard to come by in Malaysia.
