By the Beach!
I just made the move from San Diego to Santa Barbara so I thought I'd post some pics of my 60g gymno tank. The nitrites were a bit high after the move but everything has settled down since. Some of the photos are taken with the flash and some aren't. Well enjoy!

Btw does anyone know where the collection point of the G. labiatus might be from? I'm not planning on selling any of the offspring from a collection point (if I get any), just curious if anyone can tell what part of Uruguay they are from?

Very pretty tank. The labiatus look like blue yerbalito to me but I'm not an expert.

Contact Felipe or Ken Davis for a better ID on them. Several others on here are also very good with these fish so maybe one of them can say for sure.

At second glance I think they have to much yellow on there throats to be blue yerbalito. Probably olimar as they are one of the most commonly available.

Thanks guys! I do have to keep up on the maintenace otherwise it gets over run with green and black beard algae pretty quickly.

Peathenster one is a red lotus and the other is a banana lily, both of which I got at a fish auction a couple of months ago.

Jgentry I'll contact them and see what they think. Btw any kind of guide, coloration or other physical marks, to determine location?

There's really only two types of labiatus common in the hobby,3 Puentes (Rio Olimar, and Lagoona Arnaud) and Blue Yerbalito, Yours look like 3 Puentes to me do to the body color. Ken

absolutely beautiful setup and residents.
That lilly or lotus in the back is really cool. Cant wait to see it further grown out.
