This is a offical grow out thread for my Cichla Melaniae, Xingu II..
Introducing my Team Brazil :D... [current 8 pieces (5-6"), 3 pieces (9")]
Peviously has really no luck on them... bought 4 pieces and all died... =(( but i never give up on them...
As for me... its a dream comm which i long wanted...
Ok, i'll do less talking and let these picture speaks.. :D

11th April, 2012 , Arrival of my 8 occupants for my grow out tank...

11th May 2012, One month of full pellet meals and frequent water change... Size:3-3.5" (More bulker and base colour appearing)

11th June 2012, Hitting 3rd months in my grow out tank... Size: 4-5"
Most of them has spangles showing on body and colour tone getting gold in colour...

15th June 2012, placed white tiles for my plecos and hopefully colour on them don't fade.. X.Finger Crossed.X
In fact, their base colour get even more stronger and spangles getting more and more..... :D

30th June 2012, Transferred them to my main to join the bigger guys.. catch all of them out and measured... to my surprise, the largest piece is 6" and smallest is 5.1"
they are really growing up well and i'm very happy!! haha

Nice pack of x's! They lookd much better w/out the white tiles.
But to each their own. And i bet its a nice change for the moment.
 
In the first photo, I would of guessed tem. Shows you how much I know.
