Hello all. I asked a while back if I would be able to add a young brown knife to my full grown Sen. Bichirs tank. The general consensus was yes, and the two of them get along quite well.

I have them in a rather tall 55 gallon tank, and I was wondering if I would be able to add one more fish to the mix: red wolf fish. I know they are aggressive, but they're not supposed to be as bad-tempered as my mala wolf (Chompers lives by himself).

Just wondering if anyone here had a red wolf with their bichirs or knives and whether it works or not.

Thanks for the help!
John

Oh, and here's a pic of the tank they would all be in:

I'm in no position to give advice on the wolf fish addition but I just wanted to say that that is a really cool tank. Where did you buy it if I may ask?

Thanks man, I found it locally and had to grab it. The couple was getting out of the hobby and I picked it up with a stand (which I broke during the move) and a bunch of accessories for $200.

I wouldn't, African knives and Polys arnt the best at avoiding aggression(they go anywhere they want and have poor eyesight)

I have noticed that my bichir is border-line blind at times. Are red wolves very aggressive? I was hoping to find a young one that could maybe grow with his tank mates so that they would all be accustomed to one another when the wolf is full grown; however, I don't want to endanger either of the fish I have now.

well from what i heard and by watching youtube videos, red wolves can live with bichirs without a doubt. just dont know exactly about the brown knife.
