On an ongoing struggle with ich in my 65g the new guy on the list being affected is my ABK. I don't know what to do anymore, I just lost my 2 geo's to ich (one yesterday and one this morning). They were taken out of the main tank a week ago when they started to show signs and put in a 10g hospital tank. I've used multiple types of treatment from salt/temp to chemical (non copper based). The last one i tried was ich ease which made it seem like it actually made it a hundred times worse (and what i was using on the geos). After 3 uses they went from a couple spots on their left fins to looking like they had been dipped in a salt shaker...

I'm really worried about my knife and the more I read the more I've tried, I have never been able to successfully save a fish from ich except 1 random rasbora.. No idea why he survived and his friends didn't. I'm just really running out of ideas and don't want to loose my 10" ABK to this :(

Temp is currently at 80 in the tank, ph 6.8, all other measurements are normal. I am currently trying to treat the entire 65g with "Kordon - Ich attack 100% natural" I was recommended this by a LFS and have given 2 treatments (half dosage) into my 65g.

Currently what's left in the 65g is the ABK, butterfly (not affected), and 3 poly's which aren't affected (as they are highly resistant to ich).

Every LFS i talk to wants me to buy a different product to treat the tank and i don't have the time or money to try them all, nor do i want to waste time if they just want to make a sale..

The only other option I can think of is go with copper based like aqua-sol. But don't know how well even at half dosage it will work with my ABK and the poly's and butterfly. As well the ich attack, it says says safe on pretty much everything.. so think I can do normal dosage? Or still go half.

Actually, it's day 3 of that ich attack medication and it seems to be working amazingly. Couple days ago when I started the ABK had about 7-8 really big white spots. Today he has a couple tiny, tiny white ones. :D Seems to be going in the right direction!

Good to hear that it's doing better. Make sure you keep up on the water changes too.

It's about day 9 of treatment and there seems to be no signs of ich on my ABK!! WOOT! Continuing treatment as labeled to make sure it's gone of course.
