i have a african brown knife about 7 in in length and i've had him for a long time mostly he'd stay hid and wouldn't see him out till after lights out but here recently he's been out mostly during the day time resting on my plants and playing back and fourth at the glass is this normal??? He's in a 55 gallon planted tank with a common pleco, pictus cat, and tiger barbs. Never had him eat any of the tiger barbs i feed flakes, bloodworms, sinking shrimp pellets.

any ideas??

???

Mine did the same thing, and hid mostly in his rocks caves with our BGK. After a while he now comes out and swims around the tank, in between other fish etc. If he's eating and swimming around, I wouldn't worry. Mine will perch on top of his coral rock and then zoom off to explore.

yeah mine cruises around the tank and sits on my plants lol

Normal, mine wouldn't come out until I bought a couple more. :) They still hide, but they all hide or all zoom around the tank exploring, mostly nocturnal imo.
