I've had this guy for a long time. He pretty much has his own tank now except for a couple of small plecos. I just noticed that the lenses of his eyes seem to be sort of bulging. You don't really notice unless you seem him from a certain angle. His eyes aren't cloudy at all and he seems perfectly fine in every other way. I last tested the water a few days ago and it wasn't too bad....just the slightest trace of ammonia, 0 nitrite and maybe 10 nitrate. That was a day or two after I took out all the gravel so maybe that increased the ammonia a bit.
This is the only abk I've owned. Is it normal for their eyes to do that? It's not even the colored part of the eyes. Just the clear lense. Maybe it's been like that for a long time and I've just never noticed. My ck has never looked like that in all the time I've had him.
