ok i found a 220 at a real good deal but te dimensions are oosite of what i really want. the tank is 6x2x2.5 but i really want a 6x2.5x24 an i wonder if i can turn the tank over on its side an take either the front or back an make it the bottom. an then have the old front or back cut to become the new front what do yall think .

It is do-able but you will need to get glass from somewhere to become the "new" front or cut the glass that you took out for the top and you will need new bracing for the top and bottom, should not be too hard if you have skills with resealing tanks but it will take some time. Just check the bottom glass to see if it is thicker than the rest of the glass and if it is, the new bottom will need to be thicker.

ok tanks that tells me alot of what i want to know. if i dont put a frame back around it an euro brace the top would it be safe or would i need to euro brace the bottom glass also or could i just set it on a stand with 3/4 ply for the top an a peice of foem under it.an could i use 1/2 inch glass for bracess
