Ok here's the thing I wanna get a crawdad but ok not sure if there safe too put in my tank can sum one give me a little advice thanks!!???

I'm getting a 125 I was gonna have sum I'd sharks. An I'm not sure yet what are fish not good too have with them can u name sum??!

Any crayfish will become food for any type of shark. Crayfish are the bottom of the food chain. :nilly:

I keep a synodontis catfish with small dwarf crayfish (CPO's) successfully but the crayfish cannot reproduce in that tank as the crayletts become food for everybody (a great food source!) So you can keep crayfish with some types of large predatory fish. It just depends upon how you set up the tank and who patrols the bottom strata.

You may--and I stress--may--be able to keep a full grown Procambarus alleni (those crays usually sold as 'blue lobsters') in the tank for a little bit before it gets eaten. You might also get away with keeping a fast reproducer like a Marmorkrebs in the tank if you provide it with lots of hides.

i think it really all depend on the fish you have, and hiding spots. i have been lucky i kept my "blue lobster' with my green terror for years. after the gt death i moved the crayfish to my blue gill tank and been in there ever since About 6 month) however there is alot of hiding places for him and he hides alot. it rarely i see him and when i do its at night time.

Ok well my i'd sharks don't even eat guppys that I put in there but ok I really want one they seem so cool what do they eat any ideas??!

there fine when there small but when they get big they well attack anything twice there size.

I feed mine a variety of foods from Hikari massivore pellets to cooked chicken to de-shelled frozen peas just depends upon the species of crayfish. Generally speaking they will eat almost anything. Some like veggies more than meat and some like meat more than veggies.
