About armatus? group or one only?

i just recently bought a new armatus into a tank, but knowing armatus will easily be freaked out, so is it better to keep 2-3 armatus to avoid it from being nervous to death? i have few 7-8' inch catfish, knife fish. the armatus is abt 5'

The tank you have is to small for it. That is probably why it's freaked out. I wouldn't add anymore. My Armatus is in a 450 gallon tank and is over 20". So you can see it needs a bigger tank. I had 3 Armatus and ended up with one from fighting. Works for a while but when they get big they don't tolerate each other.

450 gallon tank....sure i will be going for that... but need a careful planning before i make one. Also, would a bigger fish put stress on it as well?

The only thing that stresses out my Armatus is the Lenticulata pike. Otherwise he is the king of the tank.
