About black water

I know why it is used but is there such a thing as too much black water? Can fish "overdose" on tannins? Is black water not recommended for certain types of fish?

I believe. Too low ph can kill and stress fish. Fish from hard water locales probably will be stressed from mildly low ph and tds. Throws of their osmoregulaltion. Fish known from black water areas can tolerate it like some apistos and gulper cats. Since they have lots of areas to swim and may not be in a area of low ph. Maybe others can give some more substance to this.

I remember that thread. Just thought about this as i just got a fancy plakat betta and added a little bit of black water extract and I remember seeing some tanks where we could barely see the fish. Got curious
