? about breeding fh's

Is there anything different about breeding fh's than other large, aggressive cichlids. Could I learn enough in the "Breeding" forum to be ready to breed fh's or could a thread be started in here on the do's and dont's of breeding fh's. If there's enough good info maybe have it sticky'd?

I know your now suppose to incest breed them because you can end up with a lot of deformed fry. Its better to breed with other flowerhorns from different parents.

I want to do some breeding for sure, but not inbreed my kml's. I want some different looking fish with good color and kok. That's why I am looking for info. I've never bred fish so I am doing my homework.

ya i know what you mean. i am thinking my half bred kamfas with my kml.

Some stuff i know, is to keep them divided, provide a place so they can lay eggs and be removed so they don't eat the eggs.

Yeah my female is eating the eggs she laid last night. It doesn't bother me because they aren't fertilized.
