? about convicts

i just got 2 convicts a female and a male and the female is really agressive toward the male wat should i do?

More hiding spots, and a bigger tank than 10 gallons...Try a 20 long...

sounds like typical breeding behavior (convicts love to breed). agree with spizz that convicts need a larger tank and more hideing spots. if it is breeding than they'd also like a place to put the eggs for spawning, a flower pot on it's side or a piece of slate rock.

if i make more hideing spots would they b able to keep them in the 10 cuz i have no money or no room for a 20gal cuz some one else on this forum that a 10gal would b fine for them

no, a pair of convicts will never be able to live permanently in a 10g, sorry, if i were you, id bring them to a petstore or find them a home and go with apistos or rams.

its ok im getting a 29gallon eclipse tank 2marro so its all good now the cons are gonna stay in the 10gallon for a few more days so i can get the 29gallon set up completely

I agree...plus they are like better to live in a 20 gallon or a 30 for life! =] so see if you can make some arrangments plus if you gots no money look on craigslist.com for some freebies or some used 30 gallon...which most of them comes with everything you need...=]

as i said above im getting a 29gallon 2marro with all the things i need because i found it on craigslist and the guy will give it to me for my ipod touch so that solves my problem about money its a nice tank its a 29gallon eclipse with the built in filter and light in the hood and im getting a stand and all
