do Bichir get better eye sight with its aged ?? I mean do they improve ??

my 3 senegalus seems dont see me actually, but I feel like my friend's albino notice when I move close to him. (this guy is much bigger)

bichirs have poor eyesight, for my experience it doesn't seem to improve, but bichirs do feel the vibrations around them and whenever you go near the tank they feel that your there, most of them are lazy during the day because their nocturnal, most active at night

agree with you bro!

While theres great debate in the scientific community and the papers tend to contradict each other.I believe vision varies from species to species. It however does not seem to be their main sense. They tend to use smell and taste as their main sense. That said I have seen my senegals pick off moving guppies from across the tank and my P.pollis snag sinking pellets-Anne

while their eyesight may not be good, ime their eyes are pretty good at detecting movement, which could be why they seem to be blind when it comes to finding non-live food but can really chase down live fish and shrimps
