i peel them because someone thought that they may have lost one of their fish because he didn't take off the tails and the tails are very sharp. and it's easier to cut them up for the little fish without the shells on.
 
its ok to leave the shell as long as the shrimp is not that big, in the wild they do not remove the shells of their prey shrimp right? and the shells add some roughage to their foods so i think that its ok...thaw them first of course:naughty:
 
mine spit out the shell anyways so to save myself the trouble of sucking it up later, i remove the shell.

we are talking about freshwater fish right? how exactly are they supposed to catch and eat shrimp that live in saltwater in the wild? ;)

I second / third or wherever I am on the rotation. Mine do the same thing. They shell the shrimp and spit it like a sunflower seed so save yourself the cleanup time and peel it.
