Is there a recommended amount of time to have a dragon out of their tank to hold them and let them explore.

My son likes to take ours out alot, but I don't know if there is a point where it might be too much. EXAMPLE = I have told him not to constantly pick her up and put her down. I tell him if he wants to hold her and let her climb on his should that is fine, but let her stay there a little while. And if we put her down on the floor to walk around, let her stay there for a little while.

I checked the recommended sites and so far the "handling of a beardie" is not discussed that much.

Any help would be appreciated.

As long as the beardie doesn't how any signs of stress (puffing, hissing, head bobbing, arm waving, beard darkening, etc) and is still eating fine I wouldn't worry about it. Every beardie I've seen loved spending time out of the cage. I wouldn't restrain her too much though. Letting her roam around is nothing but good for her.
