A lot of the time, occasionally on this forum too, I see people comparing eachothers pets, like fish. What they do is pit two fish together, and whichever one kills the other one, they say that one is cooler. Or they say "My fish can kill yours". My reason is pretty much that fish keeping isn't about your fish killing eachother, it's how much you love them. They don't have to be the most aggressive or killer fish. Just saying as a reminder, so We don't all lose our sanity...hehe. That's all.

I haven't seen too many people on here that are into fighting or showing off how tough their fish are. They don't seem to last long. The ones who do say it are done mostly in a joking matter. My two cents.
There is a recent thread about GTs and the term royal that could be viewed as this, but really it is about what makes a good gt and if the term royal is relevent and should be used. I don't see alot of people say, mine is better, but rather people compliment others fish in posters threads, then recieve complients when they make their own threads. No mines better....

I post my fish in comparison to others just to see how I'm doing as a fish keeper and hobbyist. It's nice to have someone tell you how healthy your fish look. It's reassuring to know your doing something right by your fish. I know there are some on here though that like to do the whole "mine cost more, is worth more, is bigger than, is better than..." but thats not what it's about. It's about loving what your doing and enjoying your fish. It's also about hiding in your fish room on a tuesday night because your in-laws are coming over for dinner, cards, drinks etc. lol
