? about size of cutouts for HOB filtration.

Im going to get some Acrylic sheets cut to put on top of my 125. Its braced on top. so i need (3) 22 1/8 x 16 1/4 " panels cut versus one single.

But Im going to need one of them cut for the HOB filter, air hoses, heater cords and the canister filter plumbing to come in the back.

Im thinking 3" cut out , so one panel is 22 1/8 x 13 1/4...

Can anyone verify this? I know the Versatops come with a 2 inch strip. Is that adequate or would i need the 3 inch cut out.

My HOB are Tetra EX70 and EX45 models. they look like they would need more than 2 inches .I guess i could mock it up, just wondering if anyone had been there done that?

JUST FYI if you are using thin .093 acrylic like off the shelf stuff at lowes or home depot it will sag. Do not cut it to the above dimensions just buy the 24 x 18 sheets and leave them they cover perfectly. The one that needed the cut out only needed 2 inches off the end. It needs some bracing. so i will try to determine that today or so when i get some time.
