Im moving into my new house on Jan 4th and will immediatly begin my 120x24x18 - 225 gallon build. I just can't decide what to stock it with. What would be some good larger fish that aren't overly boisterous or rowdy? I love big fish and small fish, so i cant make up my freakin mind.
I think big schools of different barbs would be awesome, but on the other hand, a couple oscars and maybe a silver arowana would be cool too. Give me some new ideas please!

Peacock Bass?! Datnoids?! Dorados?! Armatus?! Stingrays?! Well it will be a temp tank for couple years but these are options I will go with IF it was my tank. :D

That tank specs are sweet as heck too.

I think he ment the 24" wide.

You could do a ciclid tank. Colorful. Active.

Lots of things really.

I would avoid Arowanas as they get 30-36"s long full grown and wouldn't be too happy with the 24" width. The 120" would be great for an Arow though.

I can go up to 30" in width, but i need to see how it will fit in the spot im putting it. Im going to make a mock-up with 2x2's i have laying around to see how it feels.

If you can, go with the 30". It will greatly increase the variety of fish you can keep in it.

Like I said, if you want to hit me up, I got plenty of gars that need a bigger tank ;). And this albino channel won't last forever in a 125g...

Pbass, other cichlids(african and SA), stingrays seem very liked on this forum,, and maybe a gar or bowfin if youre into those types.
