I am going to begin construction on an indoor pond this weekend. After all my digging and researching, I have decided to go with an elevated BOG for filtration. I am only going to line the bottom of the pond with tiles so its not black and maybe some features like driftwood or rocks for the little guys to hang out in. The dimensions I have now will have the tank at around 450 gal but may increase water height to get some more out of it. The BOG is at around 40% of the surface area so I think it will be effective. What is your input, experience etc? Please be constructive!

That initially almost made me not want to do it when I started planning. However, it will be an indoor pond and the BOG will be pea gravel vice dirt so I think it will be manageable. Even if its a once a year thing to stop the pump and pull everything and clean it out.
