Hey all I had a previous post in this sub asking for recommendations and advice from all of you in regards to an indoor pond and low and behold I have made my purchases and finally through the busy holiday season they have arrived!!!

I've included pics of my awesome dad helping me get it actually into the house lol! More to come of the plumbing process.

Cool, a nice project for you. What are you planning on putting in it?
I must say your dad doesnt look too impressed in the photo. Giving off a vibe of "stop taking stupid pictures and help us carry this F****ing pond"

Is that a rotary drum filter? I would be interested in how it performs with removing fine suspended solids. Is it 40 micron screen?

It's going to be my perma home for my black diamonds.

Yes its a RDF and yes its 40. RDF with bio-chamber is the only way to go when trying to keep a clean and not ugly looking barrel system in your house. It will all be enclosed and hidden. My main breeder uses a profidrum eco 65 for 4000 gallons and over 20 rays. This may be overkill for my measly 2. Were gonna find out!

Nice I have looked at this alternative too.. is that the 720? Please let me know how you like it
Hey friend, this is actually only the 405 (yes it's huuuuuge) I wanted the 600 but the gf said no way jose to those dimension and after receiving this even knowing how big it was prior I don't think I would have been happy if it was 2 feet longer which is what the 600 is. Just wouldn't have looked acceptable in the actual house. As for as build quality it arrived in really good condition and actually is quite light for how large it is. The true and really only test that's gonna matter is drilling it.

Yeah that’s something I’d probably try to hide in a wall through a spare room or garage, especially for plumbing. Or a custom box but it’s hard to beat the price for such volume

Tank and filter looks awesome. I haven’t drilled a fiberglass tank before but the way I would do it is to drill a pilot hole first. and then start the hole saw in reverse at low rpm. After the hole saw makes a groove you can put it in forward and finish the hole. I’d drill from the inside out. Good luck.

Does anyone know a recommended pump size for 400 gallons with Rotary Drum filter? I'm looking at the reeflo line and the hammerhead specifically however I'm asking myself if I truly need 5400 GPH and how thats going to react inside my 1 1/2 inch pvc throughout my system?

Any ideas?
