After loosing my 2' Silver I'm jonesing for another Aro...but which one?

Another Silver? I've had 3-4 through the yrs..think I'll try something new
A Jardini? I have a 12" Pulcher Dat that I would be pissed if he killed.
A Black? The lfs wants MAD money for an 8" "Blue" (IDIOTS) arrow...try $300

For $300 I'd buy one of their baby Pimas and grow it for a yr for fun.

SO many awesome fish....what to do what to do!

Sorry just babbling.....funny how when we loose our main fish we want the ALL!

I'd go for a cheaper black aro. Some of the vendors here have been asking much less than $300. My LFS, however, are asking $350 for one about that size .:screwy:

Pima at it's slowest will outgrow in a year(like you said) @ at least 2" a month and many will pop in I'm sure and mention growth rates of like 4" a month which is possible apparently.

You should just buy the jar and sell me your dat.. then no worries.. :D

Seriously though obviously don't get another silver. Get a blue or a jardini.. Which ever you like more(I know hard to decide) or IMO even better find someone with leichardti and order one of those.. :headbang2

Ok I have several choices facing me. I have a 12" Pulcher, and a 12" Fl Gar in a 180g.

Now what would you do?
-Add a small (8" Jar) and HOPE for the best.
-Add Large 24" Black Aro's (1 or 2) might have a pair in sights
-Add a HUGE Silver Aro
-Add a small Black Aro and grow him out

i always like growing out small fish
thus i would say
get a small black and grow him out
just my opinion

I always liked the blacks over the others. But get what you like the best.

Agreed, I would do the same thing.

i wouldn't risk your dat no matter what. check out fish room plus, he occasionally has black arrows for MUCH cheaper, and bigger!
