About to purchase my first XP3

Going to be buying my first Renna for my 55 gal SA tank and I'm wondering what media I should be getting with it. Thanx.

Any kind of bio-media you want to fill up the remaining space in the top two baskets.
I use SeaChem Matrix in mine. I also have some bio-balls.

I recommend using the black sponges in the bottom basket for mechanical filtration, and biological media (ceramic rings) in the other two baskets.

that is how i have my xp3 running.

Eheim Substrat Pro or Seachem Matrix. I have Matrix in my xp2 and it works well.
