well after some time away ive come back to the hobby. at the moment i have a juwel rio 400 but as ever you want your big tanks back when youve had them before. memories of my 8x4x2 and 7x3x2.5 are still strong.
at the moment i carnt afford to buy a new huge tank and defo not in acrylic like my old ones.
so i found a cheap glass 7x3x2 online and got that. so not i have to start and build the stand.
ive built a couple before but never taken any pictures of the build, this time im gunner try and take pics of stages of the build.
here are a couple of pics that i found of my old stands i made.
this was the first, my dad helped me build this first one. tank size was 5x12x15
this is the only pic of the second stand i built, first atempt by myself lol.
tank size was 5x18x18, then a 26" cube tank built into the stand.
this was the thrd stand i built, tank size was 7x2.5x18.
sadly i carnt find the pictures of the 8x4x2 when it was all cladded with wood and looking nice. only when it was the breeze blocks.
and i have no pics at all of the 7x3x2.5 i built last.
the next stand starts at the weekend fingers crossed and ill try to get a few pics as i build it and set up the tank. sadly this tank is not drilled and is toughend glass no not even attempting to drill it so its getting a trickle filter above on the wall and a couple of large internal and external filters.
i may fit a sandbed filter as well as a mate of mine said i could have his for free!
