Above tank algae scrubber build

Hey folks, I have spent the past few days in my garage building a linear, above tank FX5 powerd algae scrubber out of 1/4 inch plexi glass. I finished the last of the silicon work this morning, and the label said 12 hrs but should I wait 24 just to be safe?

Is the silicone the only thing holding the plexi together? If so, I suggest you take it apart and reseal with a Weld-on solvent. Silicone doesn't adhere all that well to pexiglass.

Well I found that out today after I got it all hooked up and running going to have to strip it all down and re-do some things.
