It has a 18 clear acrylic boxes that can hold more biological media than an FX-6 filter. Works great on any 4 foot fish tank such 55 gallons, 75 gallons, and some 90 gallons depending on the length. I used it personally on my 55 tank. It is a great alternative to a below tank sump for those who do not have the room, expertise, or want to be worry free against a sump flooding your floor, or a pump burning out in case of an outage.
