I have had my E. humboldtii Knife with a Pumpkinseed Sunfish for about a month, no issues, the two got along just fine. Last week I looked at the tank with a horrifying surprise. The E. humboldtii Knife was torn apart. Ripped finds, large gash in his head, no tail, etc. I was surprised as heck. After 4 weeks of peace, why now decide to eat eachother???
SO I moved the Knife into a 10-Gallon and imediatly started treating the tank with Melafix and things started looking pretty good. He was swimming around, bottom fin was starting to regrow a bit. But two days ago he stopped eating, slowed down a bit, swam strangely, and tonight I watched him pass...:(

ic. I just never would of thought that after 4 weeks that he would decide to attack the Knife. He was a wuss in my 55-Gallon Cichlid tank, lol. Had to move him out, because he was getting beat-up by the Hybrid African cichlid.

Sorry for your loss:( Sometimes, fish just turn nasty without warning.
