AC 110 rattling noices

one of my AC 110s is making this rattling noise. something might be caught in the impeller, only one way to find out! however, i am not sure if the motor housing comes off like the AC 20. it seems like its attached by different means in comparison to the AC 20. i would like to know how to take it off properly before i attempt to do anything.

has anybody ever taken off the housing or ever experienced rattling noises?

All you have to do is turn it. It will come right off. Mine make a rattlingnoise too but it usually is only the top cover rattling so I just tape it down and it stops.

You could have something caught in the impeller or it needs a new impeller. I bought one of mine used and it was loud. I replaced the impeller and that took care of it. Yes the lid will rattle sometimes.

i fixed the problem, it wasn't the lid or the impeller really. i had put prefilter sponges on the intakes of the 2 AC 110s. both prefilters are very fine, they clogged quickly and reduced the flow, putting extra strain on the motor.

i took both pefilters off and cleaned them. after i put them back on i noticed a major reduction in the rattling noise, i also got my flow back.
