Is this filter really what everyoen says it is. Is it really that good. And i knwo it says 500 gph but what is the real turnover rate.

I just got one yesterday. It's really big for a HOB and looks beefy. I'm going to run it, along with a powerhead, on my moderately stocked 55g.

I just set mine up. Virtually silent and good flow. I'm impressed. Then again, I've used Aquaclears for the better part of a decade.

I use a AC 110 on my mini bow 7. It is a full reef. I use it as a HOB sump and for flow. Works great!!!!!!

110 on a 7g??? and can people just use the search button instead of throwing up the same ole questions...

If you use only those eheim or other wholy media you can get closer to the 500 but with sponge and others def closer to 400.

Make sure to keep it clean and check the prop to make sure its loose, especially if you use sand and have diggers.
