Hey Everyone,
Im going to be removing the fx5 soon of of my 40 gallon breeder to try something out. Ordered some k2 to see how they work and get some results out of them. Best way to experiment it would be on my 40 gal breeder. So basically k2 will be my biomedia and will have plenty...since Im not running a sump on this tank Im thinking of simply using the AC as mechanical filtration. So I was thinking of just stacking two of the foam pads that come with the aqua clear and than stack this bonded filter media (filter floss material) (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002565PW/ref=gno_cart_title_4?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER) directly on top of the coarse foam pads. I think this would be sufficient enough for the mechanical part, what do you guys think? Better mechanical filtration media to put inside?
